so what's this exciting news then...?

This Sunday and a few evenings that following week, I'm going into Abbey Road 2 to record...!  Exactly what I'm going to record yet is unknown even to me but when someone calls and says 'Would you like to come and record a few sessions in Abbey Road 2" it's not polite so say "I'm not sure what I would record...let me get back to you".

So far it's looking like me, Jules, Joanne, Jez and possibly a visit from Paul Wilkinson and Duke Special.  I've also asked Conner Reeves to come and do some backing vocals and I'm about to ask another singer (who's out of this world) called Jamie Woon to come down... maybe I should ask him before mentioning his name... what if he's reading this...Jamie? is that you?

I better go call him now...

One song I know we'll record is a new song called 'Make it Rain' but aside from that, dear knows what'll happen.  Whatever it is, I promise to share the results with you here first.

The other exciting news - as far as I'm concerned - is that I'm back in Belfast in August for 3 nights at the Black Box!

29th 30th 31st August

We've capped the tickets to 200 per night to retain the intimacy that you'd expect with the Black Box.

You can get tickets here

For those of you that don't know, the Black Box is a theatre type venue in the heart of Belfast's Cathedral Quarter...

I'm really looking forward to it, especially after the Waterfront show on Saturday.  Thanks to those of you that showed up and made it such a great night... don't know about you but we had a ball.

Right, I'm off now.  I'm heading into studio with Jules and Paul Wilkinson for a new project that we're approaching... Jules on anything that makes a noise, Paul on bass and bowed guitar and me on drums and vocals... could end up sounding great or like fighting alley cats....  I'll keep you posted.

Hey mate! I was just on the Secret Garden Party website since I'm going and it says you're performing in the Living Room tent! Just wondered if it's true and if so do you know what time you're playing?

HI FOY, SAW YOU AT THE WATERFRONT FOR THE FIRST TIME. A MIGHTY GIG. NOW FOR THE CRITICISM- IAM NOT AN O.A.P. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE OPTION OF A PEW JUST LIKE THE V.I.P.s. WHETHER SITTING OR STANDING YOUR PRESENCE AND SONGS WILL CARRY THE SHOW. JIM C.

Oh Foy you are a gem! Your gigs in the black box are always brill, I remember the "moment" last time with the humming hehe. Brilliant gig at the waterfront, keep persevereing with the moustache, maybe we will see it one day without the aid of a spotlight (I jest! I jest!) Glad you are recording Make It Rain, it is one hell of a song!

We visited Bicester Village on Monday afternoon and wondered into the Molten Brown shop. Suddenly, this strangely familiar music started playing over the speakers... it took about 20 seconds but eventually it twigged! They were playing Stoke my fire from Watermelons and Oranges! Not sure if it was radio or a CD... but our first experience of hearing your music whilst out shopping. Strange but amazing and hopefully something we'll experience more often!

Seeing you at The Waterfront was quite an experience. I watched and listened intently as you sang every song and was totally amazed at how weel u perform. Indeed it was all about you...after all it was your name on the ticket!! LOL. You sang each song with huge amounts of passion....Make it Rain and Hope was very special....I could swear u turned away to wipe a tear after you sang Hope and that was very touching...I loved the way you rounded the night off with 'Come On Up To The House' which had a great gospel feel to it. You are an inspiration to us Belfastians and I just hope that u get to where you want to. Thankyou Foy, Joanne and Jules for an incredible night. Ken & Michelle
